Are standard blocks of land on the northern end of the Gold Coast decreasing in size?
There has been an increasing trend occurring on the northern corridor of the Gold Coast. Established acreage properties are selling out to make way for subdivisions with new land sizes within the 300m2 to 600m2 range.
Suburbs including Ormeau, Pimpama, Upper Coomera, Coomera, Oxenford and Helensvale are all currently experience this trend.
The past ten years on the northern end of the Gold Coast has seen an average block of land decrease in size from around 700m2 down to just 400m2. A check of new land sales in the northern corridor reveal developers marketing blocks of land around the 600m2 range as duplex lots.
There appears to be no shortage of first home buyers inquiring about new home and land packages on these northern corridor lots though. This is good news for developers, builders and of course the local economy.
